The following foreign language programs are some of the titles we recommend in the book, Carschooling. For ease of listing, we included mostly Spanish titles, but many of these programs are available in other languages as well.

* Teach Me Tapes are a series of individual kits designed to introduce basic Japanese, Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Russian, Hebrew and other languages to children. The cassette tape comes with an activity book. Ages 2-12.

Spanish on the Move for Kids: This kit (designed for use in the car) includes a CD and booklet with 22 catchy tunes, lyrics, games, and activities that teach Spanish. (Ages 3 to 8.)

I can Read and Speak Spanish by Maurice Hazan – This product includes a book and CD that helps kids learn to speak, read, and understand Spanish from the very first lesson. The book includes tips for parents on how to adapt the material to their child’s learning style. (Ages 4-9)

Linguafun!  This kit contains an audio CD and decks of game cards to help your carschoolers learn languages while playing Gin Rummy, Solitaire, Concentration, and Go Fish. Use the audio CD to learn correct pronunciation and play interactive
language building games. Comes in Spanish, French, German, and Italian. Ages 7 to adult.

Play and Learn Spanish by Ana Lomba – This book and audio CD contain over 50 fun songs, games, engaging comic strips, and sidebars with interesting cultural information about everyday life in Spanish-speaking countries so parents and children can learn Spanish together.

Hop, Skip, and Sing Spanish  by Ana Lomba – This book and CD engages children (ages 2-8) with catchy tunes, silly games, and beloved fairy tales. Kids will enjoy the activities that make learning Spanish a snap.
