To keep my two boys in the Halloween spirit I used to create a Halloween soundtrack to play in the car. It was a great way for them to feel the spooky magic of this time of year while we were out running errands, going to classes, park days, or pretty much anywhere.
There are many child friendly songs these days too. Of course there are some standards, like “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, the “Ghostbusters” theme song from the film, “Monster Mash,” “Bibbity Bobbity Boo” from Cinderella, and “This is Halloween” from the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack. Additionally, there are a variety of new songs written which are age-appropriate and precisely for young children to enjoy. Moreover, you can find compilations on YouTube and the like that have already done the work for you.
Here are a few links that I have come across that you and your children might enjoy.
