Most children really enjoy using a camera and taking pictures. Have them keep their very own photographic journal of your carschooling adventures. Digital cameras are great fun because you can see how the picture looks instantly. Let carschoolers take turns photographing interesting things along the way. They will learn quickly how to adjust the way they hold the camera and where to position themselves for the best light and distance to get a really good picture.
Purchase inexpensive photo albums, or just have carschoolers tape or glue their pictures into a notebook as soon as the pictures are developed. Keep some blank address labels handy so that they can write a note about the picture, where it was taken, and the date it was taken on the labels and then stick them next to the photo in the album. They will have fun reminiscing about the journey whenever the look through the album.
Hi – this is a great idea!! My husband just had this idea for our daughter – she loves to borrow my camera and take pictures (which is helpful, since my husband works on at sea, and if she takes the pictures, he gets photos of me too!) – I am definitely incorporating this idea into our plans!!!
p.s. I love your website 🙂
