Hi - this is a great idea!! My husband just had this idea for our daughter - she loves to borrow my camera and take pictures (which is helpful, since my husband works on at sea, and if she takes the pictures, he gets photos of me too!) - I am definitely incorporating this idea into our plans!!!

p.s. I love your website :)

These are awesome ideas. We have both been carschooled and as avid homeschoolers, we are almost never home and car school almost all of the time. We also carschool on the subway and train. Everywhere we go there ia an opportunity to learn and be with family. Life is Great! So is your site.

Very cool. I have posted on my website a free activity booklet with games and puzzles for travel. It is tied into my 50-state, mystery, trivia series - The Junior Geography Detective Squad series. I originally had it as each state with coloring pages that were state related plus the games and puzzles, but now it is only the games and puzzles. If anyone is interested in the individual state related activity booklets, just drop me a note on my website and I'll be happy to email you whichever state you are interested in.

I've been thinking all along that car trips are just as educational as being in a classroom, because there is no better experience than actual hands on, seeing for yourself, first hand whatever it is you are learning about.

I'm glad I found this site. E :)

STATE OF QUARRIES, now available
STATE OF RESERVATIONS, coming April/May 2010
STATE OF ALTITUDE, coming May/June 2010
STATE OF SUCCESSION, coming summer 2010
STATE OF NATURE, coming fall 2010
STATE OF ACCELERATION, coming February/March 2011
